Café Organika is an organic café set up to serve healthy food,
in a relaxing and peaceful environment. What makes us special
is the care we apply to every aspect of our operation. We use
the freshest seasonal and organic produce whenever possible.
We provide high quality home cooked food and high standards
of personal and individual service. First and foremost we care
about the people who come through our doors and that includes
our staff as well as all our customers.
Our menu provides a varied healthy choice
to customers. Our salads are visually pleasing served using
seasonal salad leaves, organic herbs and edible flowers. Our
soups are creatively made using nettles, various herbs and spices.
We reduce salt in our cooking by flavouring food using herbs
and spices.
We source local and organic whenever we can.
We stock fair-trade, organic and reduced salt and reduced sugar
items in our deli and try and deal with as many ethical producers
as possible.
We cater for customers with special dietary
requirements i.e. gluten free, vegans and diabetics. Our menu
is clearly labelled for customer convenience with D= diabetics,
GF=gluten free and V=vegan. If customers are allergic or simply
do not like an item we can omit it from the food being ordered.
Mums with children of all ages are well accommodated
at our mother and toddler group on a Monday morning, as are
our senior citizens with a 10% discount on a Wednesday. Our
café creates a relaxed family atmosphere enjoyed by regulars
and by one-time visitors alike. Our café has a no smoking
policy. We also care a great deal about the food we serve and
detailed attention to the quality of its sources and its preparation
ensure that each home cooked item really does taste as good
as it looks.
We cook all our own food on site, and qualified staff prepare
our soups and specials. Everything we serve in our café
is freshly prepared from fresh ingredients, which makes a 'little
wait' an inevitable item on the menu at very busy, times but
even our busiest customers tell us 'the food is worth the wait.
